12 Days of Christmas Wishlist

This year, we don’t need a partridge in a pear tree, and we definitely don’t need six geese a-laying or five golden rings. In fact, we don’t even need Christmas treats or gifts.
Instead, we are asking you for the essentials. Basic food and hygiene items that will help us ensure our clients have everything they need over the coming winter months.
Between November and January, Chipping Barnet Foodbank provided 1,673 food parcels, supporting 1,149 adults and 524 children experiencing food insecurity. During the colder months, our clients facing hardship, must make the choice between heating their homes and feeding themselves and their families. Your food donations help ease that burden.
Foodbank Essentials
Our Christmas wish list isn’t a fancy one; there are no designer names or well-known brands. The items might not feel very festive, but in fact, these are the things that give families and individuals dignity at a time of year when their income may be more stretched than usual.
From washing powder for fresh, clean clothes, cooking sauces to make basic meals a bit more interesting and cupboard staples to keep people full – each item has been carefully considered to make the season ahead less of a financial burden.

To ensure that we can support local people over the winter months, we are requesting all donations be collected by 15th December. If your school, church or workplace have organised a collection, please let us know. Find out when you can drop off collections here. Alternately, we can arrange for our volunteers to collect the items from you. Just email [email protected] to organise.
If you’d like to donate money instead, please donate to our winter appeal here.
Thank you for your generosity. It means we can continue to support the people in our community who need it the most.
