Who We Are
Chipping Barnet Foodbank is a local independent charity dedicated to providing emergency food and support to people facing hardship in the London Borough of Barnet. We believe that no one in our community should have to go hungry, and we are committed to ensuring that individuals and families experiencing crisis receive the essential help they need.
Our food bank is part of the Trussell network of food banks, working towards a future where food banks are no longer needed. However, while poverty and food insecurity persist, we remain steadfast in our mission to offer immediate relief while addressing the underlying causes of hardship through signposting and advocacy.
What We Do
We provide nutritionally balanced emergency food parcels to individuals and families referred to us by frontline professionals, such as social workers, GPs, and schools. But we do more than just distribute food, we offer a holistic support service to help people regain financial stability and access the help they need.
Our on-site support services include:
- Citizen’s Advice Barnet – We have a partnership with CAB to provide advice and support to our clients.
- Signposting Support – We connect clients to local organisations offering benefits support, debt advice, housing assistance, and employment guidance.
- Digital Inclusion – We help those without internet access connect with vital online services and resources.
