Our Foodbank Manager Awarded British Empire Medal!

4th July 2025

It is a pleasure to announce that Victoria Miller, our manager at Chipping Barnet Foodbank, featured on the latest King’s Birthday Honours List for her work at Chipping Barnet Foodbank and the wider community of the London Borough of Barnet.

Victoria has been involved with Chipping Barnet Foodbank since its humble inception in 2012, as a volunteer for 10 years and in more recent times as a Foodbank Manager in a much bigger organisation which includes 166 dedicated volunteers.

Victoria has received the British Empire Medal (BEM) which is an award given for various kinds of service including long term charitable work, volunteering, or innovative projects that have a positive local impact. Anybody who knows Victoria will be aware that she ticks all of these boxes and we are proud to recognise her.

I also know that Victoria wants to thank everybody at Chipping Barnet Foodbank and our community partners because the operation of the food bank is very much a team effort and not an individual pursuit.

Kind regards,

Martine Whitaker
Chair of Trustees Board
Chipping Barnet Foodbank
